Supporting NIS Leaders to Deliver the Business Plan
Acorn are delighted to be working once again with NIS Integrated Engineering, the North West-based advanced engineers who are part of the NIS Group which includes NSG Environmental.
NIS works on some of the most complex and demanding engineering projects both here in the UK and across the world, and can boast an impressive track record of bespoke and innovative products and services to a range of industry sectors.
Here in the UK – and specifically for the team and activities that Acorn are supporting – NIS work extensively with the nuclear sector and have been instrumental in many of the decommissioning and nuclear clean up activities at the Sellafield and Nuclear Waste Services (NWS) sites in west Cumbria.
Acorn Founder Keith Longney: “As well as being involved with NIS in many areas, I’m personally looking forward to working with the executive team whom Acorn have supported for many years.”
“NIS operates in highly competitive, highly specialised and, with nuclear in particular, highly regulated sectors and it stands to reason that any business plan will be equally complex.”
“The dynamic of this leadership team and their united focus on delivering that plan will inform much of the organisation’s activities in the years ahead. It is crucial that there is clarity and unity across the executive which can cascade effectively through the organisation.”
The 2-day workshop, held at Kendal’s Castle Green Hotel (pictured above) on the edge of the Lake District, will focus upon reaffirming the vision and business plan; it will also review the way in which the exec team is working in order to capitalise upon it’s capability to enable the realisation of the business plan.
Acorn have worked with the NIS Group on a number of key projects including the Plutonium Contaminated Materials (PCM) programme at the LLW Repository (now Nuclear Waste Services), which was completed with four years ahead of the original schedule and with a saving to the taxpayer of over £20million.
Previous to this, Acorn supported NSG Environmental with a senior team coaching initiative to assist with succession planning and providing executive coaching to the Senior Management Team.
