Senior consultant and leadership development professional, Sue has been involved in leadership, learning and personal development since 1995.

Her work as both a project manager, organisational consultant and coach in public sector, private organisations and academic institutions enables her to translate development programmes and understand business needs.

She is a skilled coach and team coach, a post graduate tutor and an evaluation consultant who works extensively in the field of transformation and both organisational and personal resilience. Sue creates safe learning environments where teams and participants can address the issues that really matter.

Recent key projects:

  • October 2020 to March 2021 – six month interim Senior Leader (Band 8b) for the NHS Graduate Management Trainee Scheme, working entirely virtually using MS Teams, leading the North West Team and working Strategically with Senior Leaders across the UK to influence and lead the GMTS programme.
  • June 2020 – Cumbria Constabulary, undertaking online workforce consultancy on the learning and development needs for Cumbria Constabulary and producing a report and recommendations to develop the workforce.
  • 2013 to 2018 – Centre for Leadership Performance, programme directing the flagship ‘leader to leader’ programme for a variety of manufacturing and service organisation senior leaders over an 8-month period from 2015 to 2018.
  • GSK Pharmaceuticals – designing and delivering a leadership development programme for ‘First Line Leaders’ beginning with a two-day residential programme, followed by 6-monthly action learning sessions, shadowing external organisations and training internal action learning champions.
  • Houghton International Oil – supporting the European and Middle East HR Director with design and delivery of strategic development programmes.
  • NHS North West R&D team – since 2013, undertaking evaluation projects to support development programmes and demonstrate impact of the team on regional R&D.
  • 2013 to present day – Halton Borough Council, ‘Developing Resilience for Managers’ workshops. Designing and delivering resilience training for middle managers.
  • 2011 to 2019 – Lancaster University Management School teaching leadership development, reflective practice and providing action learning facilitation at post graduate level on; Full time MBA, Executive MBA, MSc in Leadership Practice and Responsibility, MSc in Project Management, MA in Hospice Leadership and Senior Leadership Development programme for Lancashire Constabulary.
